If we look at fighting and movement as language, then there are many languages, with many dialects, accents, and personal flairs. China’s traditional bare knuckle boxing systems are likewise expansive 'languages of combat'. Yet within all the diversity of China there are 'common languages' in each region, the largest of which is the 長拳 Cháng Quán (Long Fist / Long Boxing) 'family'.
This course seeks to help students of the martial arts understand the basic movement language and approach of Long Boxing style fighting. With this framework you can learn any traditional Northern Chinese boxing system and make good use of it. Those who already have a background in the Traditional Chinese Martial Arts can use this framework to better utilize their skills.
